Email Server Options

See below for common settings for email hosted by Google, Microsoft, and Apple.
SMTP Server The hostname or IP address of your outgoing mail server. For example, if you are using Gmail, then you would use "smtp.gmail.com".
Use SSL? If your SMTP server supports SSL, check this option to enable encryption.
Sending Email Address This is the address that the emails will be sent from.
Sending Email Display Name If you want the emails to include a name in the "From" line of the emails, put the display name here. If left blank, the "From" line will just show your email address.
Port If you need to use a non-standard TCP port, specify it here. If left blank, the defaults are port 25 for cleartext connections and port 465 for SSL.
Username If your SMTP server requires authentication, put your username here.
Password If your SMTP server requires authentication, put your password here.

If you use Google (Gmail):

SMTP Server:smtp.gmail.com
Use SSL?Yes
Port465
Username:required - full email address
Password:required - the password for the email account

Note: If you have problems sending the test email for Gmail and see a "Code 534" error, you might need to change your Gmail settings. One possible solution is to use 2-factor authentication on your account and create an application password for WellTrack Toolkit. The other solution is to enable the "Less secure apps" option through the Gmail settings (available at https://www.google.com/settings/security/lesssecureapps).

If you use Microsoft (Hotmail):

SMTP Server:smtp.live.com
Use SSL?No
Port587
Username:required - full email address
Password:required - the password for the email account

If you use Apple (me.com or icloud.com):

SMTP Server:smtp.mail.me.com
Use SSL?Yes
Port587
Username:required - full email address
Password:required - the password for the email account
